Who invented it?
This “blue-green algae” (actually a bacterium) grows in subtropical and tropical waters with high salinity, in Central America, Southeast Asia, Africa and Australia. People have used it as food for centuries. According to the WHO, its use as a source of protein or vitamin A in India, for example, is undisputed. We have no shortage of these substances.
