Berlin, July 30, 2014. The young AfD is about to hold its first East German state elections. In the hall of the federal press conference, a political unknown raises his index finger, who will soon be the right-wing extremist face of the party: Björn Höcke. “Now you can quote me,” he recommends to the journalists present. “Höcke says, colon, quotation marks below: Political correctness is like mildew over our country. And I have stepped in to clear this political correctness away.” The journalists sneer. What kind of guy is that?

Fifty days later, Höcke got a tenth of the votes in Thuringia. What does he want today? What does he want tomorrow?
