Bitwise has filed with the SEC to launch a “Bitcoin Futures ETF” product in the United States. If approved, the product will be traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
reportAccording to Bloomberg, Bitwise’s product will be called the Bitcoin Strategy Optimum Yield ETF under the ticker BITC. Instead, it will offer management of BTC futures contracts on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), as well as short-term fixed income investments.
Previously, the first Bitcoin Futures ETF was approved by the US Securities and Exchange Commission in October of last year. And the trading volume exceeded $1 billion on the first day.
There were also a few Bitcoin futures ETFs that entered the market in the following months. However, the market conditions then and now were completely different.
