Eduardo Camavinga has apparently not made it into France’s World Cup squad. However, Dayot Upamecano from FC Bayern is also there.
France is one of the big favorites at the upcoming WM in Qatar. However, Les Bleus are struggling with some injury concerns and will be without a star or two for the finals. National coach Didier Deschamps apparently caused a big surprise when the squad was announced.
Mike Maignan, N’golo Kante, Paul Pogba – France will have to do without some very prominent players at the Winter World Cup in Qatar. For national coach Didier Deschamps, there is a gaping hole, especially in the midfield, as he has always relied on the congenial duo of Kante and Pogba in the past.
Eduardo Camavinga doesn’t make France’s World Cup squad
Shooting star Aurelien Tchouameni will now be seeded. The youngster has had a strong season with his new employer real Madrid and will probably play a big role at the World Cup. Most fans suspected his team-mate Eduardo Camavinga to be at his side, although the 19-year-old plays less regularly at Real.
However, it now turns out that Camavinga will not only start alongside Tchouameni, but will not be going to the World Championships at all! At least the youngster is not in Deschamps’ squad for the time being and is only on the reserve list if there is still a vacancy.
