Bicycle demo in the district town – Ebersberg

On the occasion of the Germany and Europe-wide “Kidical Mass Action Weekend”, the ADFC district association Ebersberg invites you on Saturday, May 14th to demonstrate together for bicycle and child-friendly traffic on site. The bike demo starts at 3 p.m. at Marienplatz in Ebersberg. According to the organizers, the demo procession leads “at a leisurely pace suitable for children across secured roads across Ebersberg” until around 4 p.m. the playground behind the evangelical church is reached for a short final rally. Immediately afterwards, a few games of the Spielkistl are already waiting, and all participants are invited to spend the rest of the afternoon with a picnic they have brought with them, games and nice conversations.

The demo train can be driven independently by the children on bicycles and balance bikes accompanied by a legal guardian, according to the ADFC in a press release. Of course, the children could also ride in child seats, cargo bikes or bicycle trailers.

The aim of the demonstrators is a change in traffic law and its prioritization of motor traffic. A road law is needed that takes into account the equal treatment and road safety of all road users. “This applies in particular to the mobility of the weakest road users: the children. All children and young people should be able to move around safely and independently by bicycle and on foot. We all benefit from this and only in this way can the traffic turnaround and the creation of quality of life in the place of residence succeed. “
