Benedikt Doll has worked his way up to fourth place in the pursuit of the Biathlon World Cup in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.

The Black Forester made up eight places when the winner Johannes Thingnes Bö did a sovereign performance again. Doll made two penalties and lost out to Martin Ponsiluoma in the final lap battle for the podium. He was 3.5 seconds behind the Swedes.

The Norwegian Bö, who had already won the sprint race, celebrated his 16th World Cup victory this season despite two shooting errors. As a result, he also got the small crystal ball early. Second was his brother Tarjei (1 shooting error/+ 34.6 seconds).

Roman Rees started the race in eighth place and fell back one place (3/+ 1:43.1 minutes). The good team result from the point of view of the German Ski Association was completed by Philipp Nawrath as 11th (3/+ 2.00.9), Justus Strelow as 17th (2/+ 2:26.2), David Zobel as 18th (1/+ 2: 28.1) and Johannes Kühn as 21st (4/2:55.0).
