In a serious traffic accident in Berlin-Lankwitz on Saturday, two pedestrians fell under a double-decker bus. One of the two trapped youths was rescued lifeless. Only death could be determined later. A spokesman for the fire brigade told rbb on Saturday evening: “We heard from the emergency call that several people were injured and that people were trapped under a bus. That’s why our rescue group went out immediately with a crane truck. We have two people here using hydraulic rescue equipment saved under the bus.”

The cause of the accident is still unclear. The police investigations are in full swing. However, the police ruled out a turning accident in relation to the rbb. A number of witnesses had to be given pastoral care on site. An extra vehicle was provided for this purpose. At the same time, the officials on site began investigations and questioned witnesses.

A rescue helicopter was also deployed. According to the information, the accident happened on Saturday around 7 p.m. on Leonorenstrasse in the Lankwitz district of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district.
