According to the Berlin authorities, more and more children and minors are chanting slogans at pro-Palestine demonstrations that spread hate and incite the crowd.

According to the police and the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, children and young people are increasingly being used to incite the crowd during pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Berlin. Berlin’s Interior Senator Iris Spranger (SPD) said in the Committee for the Protection of the Constitution: “It is now increasingly occurring that minors are being abused to shout slogans at demonstrations and to massively inflame the situation.”

This is “deliberately used as a tool by those who want to spread hate and incitement on a massive scale.” Of course, the images from the war in the Gaza Strip would upset people, but demonstrators should not act with hatred and incitement. However, some demonstrators would specifically question the rule of law.

Of course, minors are not allowed to attend such events without being accompanied by adults, Spranger continued. “Let alone shouting massive slogans. And that’s what’s happening at the moment. And it’s not just happening in Berlin, it’s also happening in other countries, we saw it in Paris, we see it in London, that young people are repeatedly being abused for this .”

The head of the Berlin State Police Directorate (LPD), Roman Seifert, reported that on Friday the police again found children “who were chanting slogans and provoking people” during a demonstration. Investigations have been initiated against the parents on suspicion of breach of duty of care.

Berlin police expect pro-Palestine demonstration

Today, on the anniversary of the attack on Israel by the radical Islamist Hamas, more than 1,000 demonstrators are expected in Neukölln again, according to the police.

On October 7, 2023, terrorists from Hamas and other groups killed more than 1,200 people in Israel and kidnapped around 250 others as hostages in the Gaza Strip. This was the trigger for the Gaza war that continues to this day.
