On Saturday, Daniel Donskoy and Max Giesinger faced each other at “Schlag den Star”. A match point game decided the victory.
After Amira Aly (32)’s victory against Vanessa Mai (32) in the last edition, last Saturday evening (October 12th) Max Giesinger (36) and Daniel Donskoy (34) were at “It was the turn of “Beat the Star”. The singer and the actor faced each other in a duel and in the fight for 100,000 euros – and one of the two clearly came out on top in the end.
As usual, the duo had to prove themselves in various knowledge, skill and sports challenges. Traditionally, “Disgrace or Cash”, this time with guest presenter Nazan Eckes (48), was also a must. Giesinger was able to prevail in the knowledge format and catch up somewhat. But in the following challenges, Donskoy was mostly ahead.
In the penultimate game the musician won on the ball catapult already a whopping 12 points and took the lead with 57 to 21. In the subsequent match ball game “Who knows more?” Matthias Opdenhövel (54) asked questions to which there was a fixed number of correct answers. The candidates had to take turns giving answers. The question about “Champions League winner” and Giesinger’s wrong answer “Arsenal London” brought Donskoy the victory. The final score: 70:21 points. “Great opponent, what an evening, you were both great,” summarized Opdenhövel, also praising Giesinger’s efforts.
“Beat the Star”: Who will compete next time?
The primetime edition Donskoy’s victory saw 360,000 people in the 14- to 49-year-old target group, resulting in a solid 10.1 percent market share. However, among the general audience, “Stralsund – Kaltes Blut” (ZDF) and “Do you understand fun?” were picked up during prime time. (Das Erste) and “DSDS” (RTL) the top places.
After the actor-musician duel, it is already clear who will compete in the next “Schlag den Star” edition. Then four people will face each other. On November 2nd there will be a pair duel: The Ehrlich Brothers, known as a magician duo, will play against “The Taste” chefs Tim Raue (50) and Alexander Kumptner (41).
