A 19-year-old physics student is said to have killed his ex-girlfriend, with whom he graduated high school, with a knife. He admits this in court. But he doesn’t want to have acted on purpose.
If what the public prosecutor’s office is accusing of Leon D., who is accused of murder, is true, then he acted in a targeted manner on May 24, 2024. Then he unexpectedly visited 18-year-old Rebecca S., with whom he had attended high school in Bayreuth the year before, at her parents’ house in Bindlach that evening. Took off his shoes in the hallway. And then suddenly stabbed his former girlfriend with a knife. The 18-year-old is said to have tried to defend herself. But “after just a few minutes,” the senior public prosecutor read out at the start of the trial at the Bayreuth regional court, “the fight for survival was over.”
