The video lasts just a minute and a second, but that’s enough to present yourself as a helper in an emergency. Matthias Penkala, entrepreneur and local politician of the Free Voters from the Neumarkt district in Upper Palatinate, tells of a “kind of airlift” with China. Millions of masks are brought from there to Bavaria in order to be able to distribute them to doctors, hospitals and other “systemically important businesses” via public agencies. Penkala, who wears one of these blue surgical masks himself, even holds a certificate from a large German testing organization in the camera. Everything is okay, is that supposed to mean.
