Meteorologists have warned of storms in Bavaria. As the German Weather Service (DWD) reported on Saturday, there will be strong thunderstorms in the Free State in the night to Sunday and during the day.
Heavy rain with up to 40 liters per square meter as well as hail and squalls are possible locally in a short time. Also at the beginning of the week there should be a mix of rain, thunderstorms and sunny sections.
In the past few weeks, after heavy rain, there had been repeated floods in Bavaria as well. It was only on Monday that a tidal wave in the Höllentalklamm at the foot of the Zugspitze swept several people away. A 33-year-old woman from Upper Franconia was killed and her partner is still missing.
