After allegations against the star chef Christian Jürgens, the Althoff Hotels and the previous manager of the gourmet restaurant “Überfahrt” on Tegernsee are going their separate ways. The three-star chef was previously, according to a report by Mirror been released from allegations of inappropriate behavior by former employees. In the report, Jürgens had rejected the allegations about a lawyer as “untrue”. The events described did not happen “at any point in time”.
The Althoff Hotels had stated that the allegations had to be examined in detail and clearly clarified. A law firm had been commissioned to work up the allegations, it said. As the hotel chain has now announced, the restaurant in Rottach-Egern am Tegernsee is to open under new management from June 20th. In the future it will be managed by the Berlin chef The Duc Ngo and will offer cross-over Asian cuisine under the name “Le Duc Tegernsee”.
