Bavaria: Explosives found in children – 13-year-olds remain in the clinic – Bavaria

After the discovery of explosives in two children in the Upper Palatinate, the students remain in a psychiatric clinic. A judge ordered the continuation of the accommodation there on Wednesday, said a spokesman for the police headquarters in Regensburg.

The investigators suspect that the 13-year-olds from the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab had planned a serious crime with the explosives. One of the two is said to have researched intensively on the internet about amok attacks. The two children are under criminal responsibility because of their age. However, a relative is being investigated who may have taken the explosives home from his workplace.

The objects suspected of being explosives were blown up by experts from the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office after a search of the apartment nearby on Monday.
