Barry Newman is dead. According to a media report, the US actor died in New York almost a month ago.

The American actor Barry Newman (1930-2023) died last May, as is now known. His wife Angela have confirmed to the industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter”.that the film and series star died of natural causes in a New York hospital on May 11.

Known from “Vanishing Point” and “Petrocelli”

Newman is best known as the former racing driver Kowalski in the film “Vanishing Point” (originally “Vanishing Point”). In the 1971 classic, Newman is set to race in a car from Denver to San Francisco in a very short time. According to the report, the shooting lasted only eight weeks and “Vanishing Point San Francisco” is said to be one of director legend Steven Spielberg’s (76) favorite films.

In addition, Newman, who was born in Boston, embodied the lawyer Anthony Petrocelli in the series of the same name “Petrocelli” in the 1970s. Numerous other roles followed, including appearances in series such as “Quincy”, “Just in Case” and “Murder Is Her Hobby”.
