Should she rework her necklace – or leave it as is? Lisa Nüdling is unsure about “Bares for Rares” what to do with her purchase. This inspires two traders to sing a song.

Josef Harreiner brought a piece of jewelry from his mother’s estate to “Bares for Rares”. The 52-year-old sales manager from Kirchheim appeared in proper Bavarian costume. Suitable for the sale object: As Heide Rezepa-Zabel explains, it is a head chain that is typical for Bavaria and the foothills of the Alps in Austria. In earlier times, this had the purpose of covering up the thyroid gland. The expert explains that this goes back to the problem that many people, especially in the Salzburg region, had a swollen thyroid gland due to iodine deficiency.

The piece presented here was created around 1850 and possibly made for a young bride. Since Rezepa-Zabel cannot find any damage, she generally agrees with the seller’s asking price. Harreiner would like 200 euros. The expertise amounts to 150 to 200 euros.

It will be musical at “Bares for Rares”

With Lisa Nüdling, a recognized jewelery connoisseur sits in the dealer’s room. And she’s quite interested. However, she could imagine turning it into a belt buckle, since the demand for choker chains in her East Hessian area is not that great, she explains before the auction begins. “If the price is right, feel free to rework it,” replies the seller.

And indeed, Nüdling was awarded the contract for 180 euros. Harreiner agrees – but has one wish: “Send me a picture of what it looks like,” asks the Bavarian. However, the buyer is still undecided as to what she intends to do with the jewelry. “Now you are in a dilemma: rebuild, don’t rebuild,” says Christian Vechtel. “It’s really like a little devil and angel on one shoulder,” agrees Nüdling – and thus gives the dealers an idea: “Devil on the left, angel on the right: Lechz,” Vechtel agrees on the fat bread song “Jein”. .

Julian Schmitz-Avial takes over: “Take the woman, she wants it too / Can you explain to me why you need good friends?” And half of the retailer’s room rocks to the rhythm of the music.

The salesman was no longer able to hear the singing concert. But he was also of the opinion afterwards: “The day was totally worth it.”
