This saleswoman did it to Horst Lichter: The presenter of “Bares für Rares” was very enthusiastic about the lady’s shoes – and her hobby also found his approval.

Noble glittering jewelry is on the expert table at “Bares for Rares”. Actually an eye-catcher. But when the owner enters the room, Horst Lichter’s eyes first go down: “Sorry, I looked at the shoes first,” says the moderator. “They’re great. And they go well with the shirt.”

The lady is Rosemarie Lambertz, 59 years old and a commercial employee from near Monschau. When asked about her private interests, she has a clear answer: “My husband is my hobby.” Actually, she’s here to sell something. A necklace and bracelet that she inherited from her godmother. She has been to Italy regularly since the 1950s and always brought something back with her.

But first, Lamberts wants to know if the stones on the jewelry are real. Unfortunately, Heide Rezepa-Zabel answered in the negative: they are imitation diamonds, she explains. This is also reflected in the seller’s desired price: she would like 1200 to 1300 euros for the jewelry. After all, the expert encourages her: Since the material value is already 1500 euros, she estimates the total value at 1800 to 2000 euros.

But that was not the last word: “Greetings to your hobby,” Horst Lichter said to his guest. In the direction of Rezepa-Zabel, the moderator said: “I’ve never heard it: my husband is my hobby, I think it’s great.”

On the other hand, slight disappointment is spreading in the dealer’s room: “These aren’t really Brillis,” says Walter “Waldi” Lehnertz, when he examines the stones more closely. That puts a damper on the general mood to buy: Susanne Steiger gets in right away with 1,500 euros, the gold value. But it makes it clear that she can’t do more.

Fortunately, there is still Daniel Meyer: “I’m not that picky and would offer you 1,600 euros,” said the 49-year-old. Since all other dealers are out, Lambertz has no choice but to agree to the deal: “If nothing else works, then we’ll do it.”

But in the end she is also satisfied: at least she now has new money for her hobby. The 1600 euros flow into the next stay in Italy with her husband. In this way, the money is returned to the place of origin of the jewellery. A nice cycle.
