Once again, Barbara Schöneberger caused a stir with an unusual outfit during the countdown to ESC 2023.

Barbara Schöneberger (49) is known for her sometimes adventurous looks. Also in the “Countdown” to the Eurovision Song Contest, which was shown on May 13 from 8:15 p.m. on the first, the presenter again showed herself in a style that was probably rather questionable for some viewers.

Schöneberger presented the countdown to the “biggest music show in the world” in a colorful dress covered in macarons. It was probably foreseeable that the mockery of social media users would not be long in coming.

Between “wrapping paper” and Guido Maria Kretschmer

“Barbara Schöneberger is wearing the wrapping paper from her local pastry shop today,” notes a Twitter user about. Another feels reminiscent of a popular video game series: “When you click dress randomly on Sims.” Meanwhile, another viewer claims to have recognized the character Effie Trinket from the blockbuster series “The Hunger Games”. Next to she explains in a photomontagethat she sees “no difference”.

A user meanwhile the question arose: “How many points would Guido Maria Kretschmer give this dress?” How the German designer feels about the outfit is not known. In March it became public that the German ESC voice Peter Urban (75) will be leading the show for the 25th and last time on May 13th. Apparently based on this, a user asked: “Barbara Schöneberger has been with us for 25 years and then stops, right? OR?”

How many points the German contribution Lord of the Lost can clear in Liverpool will have to be seen on Sunday night. But one user jokes based on Schöneberger’s colorful dress, yes: “Fortunately, the outfits of the hosts from the country shows are not judged.”
