David Crosby wanted to reconcile with his bandmate Graham Nash shortly before his death. But that never happened, as Nash says.

British-American musician Graham Nash and former bandmate David Crosby were on the verge of a reconciliation when Crosby died in January this year. Nash, who released his new album entitled “Now” on Friday, said in an interview with the German Press Agency.

The two former bandmates of the supergroup Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young (CSNY) had previously been at odds for years. However, they recently got back in touch, Nash, 81, said, adding: “He sent me a voice message and said he wanted to apologize for bitching about me and Neil (Young).” But an agreed video call never materialized, Nash continued. “He never called and I waited, then he died.”

“I was incredibly saddened by his death,” Nash said of the former bandmate, who died at the age of 81 and whom he still admires for his virtuosity. But the convergence of recent years has made it easier to deal with. Even after Crosby’s death, Nash did not want to reveal what was the original trigger for the years of trouble: “It’s a personal matter between me and Crosby, and it will stay that way.”
