Noel Gallagher: Is there an Oasis reunion?
The band Oasis disbanded in 2009. Under certain conditions, however, the guitarist could imagine a reunion.
The former songwriter and guitarist for Brit pop band Oasis said he was “thoroughly considering” getting the band back together for a fee of £8million. The 56-year-old told British radio station Radio X one day before the release of his band High Flying Birds’ new album “Council Skies”.
It used to annoy him to be constantly asked about a reunion with his brother Liam (50), Noel continues. In the meantime, however, he is happy that the music of Oasis is constantly reaching new fans.
He reported an encounter with young fans at the football stadium in London who were just as old as his children. “It makes me think we’ve done something really shiny and timeless and yes, that feels good.”
