Aying: Parents taxis because of unpunctual S-Bahn – district of Munich

In Aying, the S-Bahn is so late that the children regularly miss the connecting train to the schools in Holzkirchen. Mothers and fathers are therefore organizing themselves in a Whatsapp group to send parent taxis on short notice.

The morning madness begins shortly after 7 a.m. at the Koch family’s home with a look at the Munich Transport and Tariff Association app to check whether the S-Bahn is finally arriving on time that morning. Then the Whatsapp parent group called “Elterntaxi” will be opened, where the first news will already be exchanged. “Good morning! S-Bahn looks good, but I’m ready if there are any delays…” writes a father at 7.11 a.m. Exactly eleven minutes later, however, the world looks different again. “In Ottobrunn 9 minutes late,” says another mother, followed by a crying emoji. And the father reacts promptly: “I’m standing at the S-Bahn and collecting!”
