Avril Lavigne has become engaged in Paris for the third time. Her boyfriend, the punk Mod Sun, got on his knees in front of the Eiffel Tower and asked the question of all questions. The singer shared this moment on Instagram.
Although her current album is called “Love Sux”, Avril Lavigne still seems to believe in love. After two failed marriages, she is now venturing towards marriage number three. The rock singer and boyfriend Mod Sun have gotten engaged.
For the third time, the 37-year-old wants to tie the knot. In addition to a romantic photo of the two in front of the Eiffel Tower with red roses and Sun kneeling, she writes in French: “Oui! Je t’aime pour toujours”. In German this means: “Yes, I love you forever.” However, Lavigne took almost two weeks to announce the engagement. Mod Sun: “Forever and ever my angel”
The post consists of several pictures. In a series of photos, she documents the moment of the engagement, the subsequent toast and the red rose bouquet. In addition to intimate pictures of the music couple, she also shows her quite large engagement ring. The singer has chosen a heart-shaped stone, thought to be a diamond, for his soon-to-be wife. In the comments to the picture you will also find another declaration of love from Mod Sun. There it is written: “I love you so much! Forever and ever my angel.”
For Avril Lavigne, it is not only the third man who asks her to walk down the aisle, but also the third rocker. Her first marriage to Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley lasted from 2006 to 2010. Three years after the first marriage, she tied the knot with Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger. However, this marriage only lasted two years, from 2013 to 2015. The singer has been with her current boyfriend and now fiancé Mod Sun for a year. His ex-girlfriends include actress Bella Thorne, with whom he dated for two years. Thorne once said in a YouTube interview that the couple broke up for a really “stupid reason” at the time, it was said to have been to attend the Coachella festival.
