A love-struck couple refused to let the crew stop them on a flight from Spain to Munich. Now the two are facing criminal consequences.

A love-struck couple on a plane to Munich have a Police operation at the airport triggered. The 44-year-old man and the 40-year-old woman had “performed sexual acts on each other” in their row of seats in front of other passengers on the flight from Alicante, Spain, the federal police said. When airline employees asked the two to stop, the couple became abusive.

The federal police at Munich Airport were therefore alerted yesterday because of so-called “unruly passengers”, i.e. aggressive or violent passengers. The officers entered the plane at the gate after landing before the passengers were allowed to disembark, said a spokesman for the federal police. The man and the woman then “stopped what they were doing” and followed the instructions of the federal police officers.

The couple must now expect investigations by the Bavarian state police for causing a public nuisance.
