It has been apparent for months that 2023 would be a particularly good year for Airbus and sales director Christian Scherer. By the end of November, customers had purchased 1,512 aircraft, more than in a full year since 2014. Next Wednesday, Scherer will publicly reveal whether last year was the best year ever or whether the sales figures ultimately remained just below record levels.
