Aviation – Fewer Flights in November – Economy

For the first time since March, the number of flight movements in German airspace fell again. According to its own information, the German Air Traffic Control (DFS) registered 174,673 flights with larger commercial aircraft in November. That was around 33,000 fewer movements than in October – a clear kink in the growth curve, as the DFS announced. A decline was expected in the fall, but in the end, the resumption of many connections to the USA gave rise to more hopes of recovery. With almost 1.5 million flights, the value from the previous year 2020 was already exceeded in November. In 2019, however, there were a total of 3.3 million flights.
