Aviation – Eurowings pays low wages – Economy

aviation:Eurowings pays low wages

With the restart of European air traffic to Corona, the Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings is relying on low wages in Eastern Europe. At the new base in Prague, flight attendants are to receive a basic monthly salary of 857 euros in a part-time model with 92 percent working time. With 14 salaries, this results in a gross annual base salary of 12,000 euros. The company confirmed this on Wednesday in Cologne. Eurowings plans to initially station two jets in Prague and three from next summer and pay the crews according to regional conditions. In addition to the basic salaries, there are also variable components and expenses, so that, according to Eurowings, annual salaries of EUR 20,000 to 23,000 gross can be expected. This corresponds to “local market conditions” and has met with a great response in the Czech Republic.
