Helge Timmerberg commutes between Vienna and Sankt Gallen, since Munich is conveniently located. An interview on the way through, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., interrupted by several smoking breaks, he keeps checking to see whether his Mercedes (heirloom from his father) is still parked. “It was fun,” he says when he says goodbye, and rushes off. “I’ll be there in three hours.”
