With the SUV coupe G6, the Chinese manufacturer Xpeng is aiming directly at Tesla’s Model Y. A test round shows that the car could also give other competitors a headache – and not just because of its price.
If you have never heard of the Chinese electric car manufacturer Xpeng, you need not worry. The company has only been around for ten years and the brand has not been represented in Germany until now. Since May, Xpeng has been offering its first two models in this country: the G9, a large SUV, and the P7 sports sedan. The model that the Chinese have the most hope for will be launched on the German market in August: the G6.
