According to a media report, the Federal Intelligence Service intercepted radio messages from the Russian military. They are said to provide information about atrocities against Ukrainians and the use of paramilitary units outside of Kyiv.
The Federal Intelligence Service (BND) has intercepted radio messages from the Russian military that contain new information about the atrocities in the Ukrainian town of Bucha. This is reported by the “Spiegel”.
In the intercepted radio communication, murders of civilians in Butscha were discussed, and individual radio messages are said to be linked to corpses photographed in Butscha. According to information from the magazine, the BND has already informed the responsible parliamentary offices in Berlin about this.
When asked, the BND merely stated that it generally did not comment publicly on matters relating to any intelligence findings or activities. No statement was made as to whether the facts of the case were correct or not. He reports on relevant topics in particular to the Federal Government and the competent, secretly meeting committees of the Bundestag.
Soldiers are said to have discussed procedures
According to “Spiegel”, the BND findings should include radio messages that match where bodies were found. In a radio message, one soldier is said to have told another that he and his colleagues had shot someone off their bicycle. A picture of a corpse on her bike went around the world. In another radio message, a man is said to say: First, soldiers are questioned, then they are shot, as the “Spiegel” reported.
According to information from the dpa news agency, the radio messages show that paramilitary units were deployed outside of Kyiv in March on behalf of the Russian army.
