At the Garorock Festival in Marmande, 21 cases of bites in one day

PIQÛRES – The psychosis of festival stings is not ready to stop. It is now the Garorock festival, in Marmande in Lot-et-Garonne, which is affected by the phenomenon.

On Friday July 1, which brought together 40,000 festival-goers, 21 cases of sting have been medically certified by the Red Cross, reports France 3 this Saturday July 2and seven people filed a complaint.

Three other complaints should follow, according to the Agen prosecutor’s office, which has opened several legal investigations, specifies France 3.

“The malicious nature of these bites will have to be certified with further medical examinations”, indicated the sub-prefect of Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Arnaud Bourda. The vast majority of cases would have occurred in the concert part. “Three (people) were taken care of at the campsite level,” he added.

Complaints of injections in nightclubs, bars and festivals are piling up across the whole of France, but the evidence is still lacking to determine the reality of these malicious acts.

As of June 17, 1004 complaints had been filed for injectionsfrom Lille to Béziers and from Lorient to Strasbourg, via Grenoble, Nancy, Lyon, Besançon, Bastia or Valence, and 1,098 victims were identified.

But no analysis has revealed the presence of GHB, nicknamed “the rape drug”, according to the National Police Directorate (DGPN).
