For two days and the tragedy that marked a football match in Malang (east of the island of Java), the death tolls communicated by the Indonesian State have systematically sent shivers down the spine. An official from the Ministry of Women and Child Protection said on Monday that at least 32 children died in the deadly stampede that took place on Saturday at the Kanjuruhan stadium, at the end of the match between Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya.
“According to the latest data we have, out of 125 deceased people, 32 are children, the youngest of whom is a child aged 2 or 3 years old”, explains this official from the Indonesian ministry.
