The digital school administration system “ASV” is not evaluated externally. A corresponding request from the SPD, Greens and FDP was rejected by the majority of the education committee on Thursday. The application is based on false assumptions, it fails to recognize that the software supports the school administrations to a large extent, so the argumentation in the FW-led Ministry of Education. The education policy spokeswoman for the SPD, Simone Strohmayr, holds against it: The system complicates the work of the school staff instead of making it easier. “We’re not going to stand by and watch,” she says. The “official school administration” is supposed to bring together data from students, teachers and timetables and thus make everyday work easier. However, 16 years after the start, there are still significant shortcomings. Most recently, the auditors from the Supreme Audit Office had issued a warning and recommended an external evaluation of the program.
