Assad in Jeddah: The Arab Spring fades – Politics

On Thursday evening, President Bashar al-Assad landed in the Saudi Arabian port city of Jeddah for an extraordinary visit. Delegations from 22 countries met there on Friday afternoon. In protest against the presence of the civil war lord Assad, the Emir of Qatar left immediately.
