When the scandalous frauds of the digital financial service provider Wirecard were exposed in early summer 2020, the community of Aschheim in the Munich district became more famous than it probably ever wanted to be. Crime author Horst Eckert has knitted an exciting thriller out of the Wirecard scandal, located in the fictional town of Moosbruck near Munich, where the up-and-coming “Worldcard” group is based. On Thursday, November 10th, Eckert will be a guest in the real Aschheim with a reading from his novel “The Year of Greed”.
