Aschheim – Football Association honors “football heroes” – Munich district

The Bavarian Football Association (BFV) honored 22 young people for their voluntary work as youth coaches or organizers next to the football field. One of them is Florian Riederer from SV Dornach. The “Football Heroes – Young Volunteer Campaign” award goes to people under the age of 30. At the award ceremony, which took place before the second division game on Saturday in the Jahn Stadium in Regensburg, BFV President Christoph Kern acknowledged the outstanding achievements of the 22 district winners, who are active on behalf of all young volunteer club employees in the around 4500 football clubs in Bavaria. “The football heroes honored today are real role models! Together with the countless Bavarian volunteers, they ensure that the ball rolls in our Free State day after day.” Finding, training and keeping talented youngsters is the core task of clubs and associations – not only on the pitch, but above all off the pitch.
