In Egypt, a friend of Galatasaray striker Mostafa Mohamed has been arrested after writing exams under his name.

A friend of Galatasaray striker Mostafa Mohamed has been arrested by police in Egypt after he is said to have written the mid-year exam on the footballer’s behalf at the Giza Higher Institute of Management and Information Technology.

This was noticed after his name appeared on the examination documents, although the 24-year-old is actually with the Egyptian national team at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Mohamed is actually studying information technology, and his buddy wanted to do him a favor: “He’s my friend and his future will be ruined if he doesn’t take the exam,” said the arrested man.

According to the Egyptian daily Youm7 was it not the first time that friend wrote the provings of Mohamed. “I just wanted to help, it’s the first time,” he said.

As Al-Masry al-Youm reported, the procedure would have been agreed with the player. Both are said to live on the same street in Giza near Cairo. The investigations are ongoing.
