US actress Arlene Dahl is dead. She died at the age of 96, as her also famous son Lorenzo Lamas announced.

Hollywood actress and businesswoman Arlene Dahl is dead. The star from films such as “The Journey to the Center of the Earth” (1959) or “Go to Hell, Gringo” (1970) died on Monday morning (November 29) in New York, like Dahl’s son Lorenzo Lamas (63) via his official Facebook account. “It was the most positive influence on my life,” writes the descendant of the acting couple Fernando Lamas (1915-1982) and Arlene Dahl. He was also drawn to the camera, among other things he achieved fame through the series “Renegade – Merciless Hunt”.

“I will remember the laughter, joy and dignity with which she faced the challenges she faced,” Lamas continues. She never said a bad word about another person – “Her ability to forgive left me speechless at times. She was a force of nature” and stood by her son time and again as a “life coach”.

The “red-haired beauty”

Dahl has a total of three children from six marriages. She was married to her last husband, Marc Rosen, from 1984 until her death. Lorenzo Lamas thanks him on Facebook with the words: “My condolences to your loving husband Marc Rosen, who has made your life so wonderful and happy for the past 37 years.”

Dahl began her acting career in 1945 on Broadway in New York before she landed her first film role two years later in “Our Life with Father”. Her red-dyed hair turned out to be her trademark from the color film era of the 50s. In the 1960s, she also built up her own cosmetics brand and increasingly withdrew from show business. She appeared as a guest star in soap operas such as “Love Boat” until the 90s, her last appearance in 1999 in the series “Air America”. Leading actor of the 26 episodes of the crime-action series: her son Lorenzo Lamas.
