For months, a private company tried to prove Trump’s election fraud allegations in the US state of Arizona. The result of the recount is clear: election winner Biden even received a little more votes.
The months-long review of votes for the US presidential election last year in Arizona has proven to be a failure for the Republican initiators. The company Cyber Ninjas of Donald Trump supporter Doug Logan, entrusted with the examination, had to admit that the manual recount did not reveal any significant differences to the official result in Maicopa County. Election winner Joe Biden even received 360 votes more than were shown in the official election results.
Election loser Trump had repeatedly cited alleged fraud as the reason for his defeat in November 2020, but was never able to prove this. Under pressure from its supporters, the Arizona Senate decided to have the votes counted in Maricopa County, although the result had long been officially confirmed and Biden had been sworn in as president.
The Democrat had a 45,000-vote lead over Trump in Maricopa County, a key contributor to his narrow victory in Arizona state. The result had already been officially verified before it was reported to Washington.
Experts reject criticism from cyber ninjas
It took Cyber Ninjas six months to count the votes, and the inexperienced company made various mistakes. Now it practically confirmed the official result, but emphasized that it could still not be trusted.
The company named a number of shortcomings that were promptly rejected by experts. Not only were the counters biased, they also failed to take note of or understand many of the rules governing the counting of votes, they said. Demands from cyber ninjas for more voting security are already in the regulations.
Trump calls for Justice Minister to investigate
“What we have learned from all of this is that the ninjas were paid millions of dollars, that politicians raised millions of dollars, and that Americans have less confidence in democracy,” said Matt Masterson, a senior US citizen – Electoral Security Officer in the Trump Administration.
The result did not prevent his former boss Trump from claiming that cyber ninjas had uncovered widespread fraud. Arizona’s Justice Minister Mark Brnovich must investigate. He had previously put on record that he needed evidence for an investigation.
