Arbitration in the public service: That is the proposal – politics

The arbitrators are trying to settle the wage dispute in the public sector by promising significantly more money for the 2.5 million employees. Will employers and unions go along with your proposal?

Collective bargaining is usually characterized by the fact that it takes longer than expected. On the last day, negotiations continue into the night, and a day or two can be added on if you like. In this respect, it is quite remarkable that the mediators, who are supposed to settle the conflict in the public sector, sent an e-mail on Saturday morning. They could actually have discussed this week, only then would the deadline for submitting their settlement proposal have expired.
