The final versions of iOS 16.1, iPadOS 16.1, macOS 13 and watchOS 9.1 were only released yesterday – and the betas of the successors are already available. Apple has released Beta 1 of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 as well as macOS Ventura 13.1 and watchOS 9.2 to developers, and public betas are expected to follow soon.
Apple announced numerous functions at WWDC 2022 that have not yet been found in the operating systems. This includes above all Freeform. This digital whiteboard is planned for iOS, iPadOS and macOS across systems and allows you to draw, write text, edit images and integrate websites together with third parties.
Of course, Apple must continue to work on the Stage Manager, because this function is far from being fully developed and is unlikely to improve user productivity in its current form.
In addition, of course, the emergency SOS function via satellite for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro is still missing, but this will initially only be activated for users in the USA and Canada. There is also a demo function so that no unnecessary emergency calls are made to try out the function only once.
