Disturbance at Tiktok: Videos did not run

Normally you can quickly spend many hours on Tiktok. However, using the app may not have been much fun recently due to a malfunction. But not only the short video platform was affected.
The short video platform Tiktok has had to contend with a far-reaching disruption. Only a still image of the clips could be seen in the apps, and there was also the message: “This video could not be played.” The videos were running again around noon, while the causes and extent of the disruption initially remained unclear.
A Tiktok spokesman referred to “technical problems”. According to the company, only a few thousand accounts were affected. A good 6100 error messages were counted at the top of alle disturbances.de.
On Thursday night, the competitor app Instagram, which belongs to the Facebook group Meta, was also affected by a disruption. Instagram spoke of “technical problems” that had been fixed.
