“A tragic destiny”. Anthony Delon paid tribute to Air Boulogne, found dead in Paris this Saturday, and who claimed to be the illegitimate son of Alain Delon. In an Instagram post, the son of the French cinema legend, expressed his “sadness”. “Rest in peace Ari”, he wrote, adding to have “a thought this evening for his two children”.

Ari Boulogne, 60, was found dead this Saturday in his apartment in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, according to information from the Parisian confirmed by the Paris prosecutor’s office to BFMTV.

A person is currently in police custody for failing to assist a person in danger. This is a woman who could be his companion. AFP specifies that an investigation is underway in order to “clarify the circumstances in which the death of the victim, who was hemiplegic”, may have occurred, according to the prosecution.

Long legal battle

Born Christian Aaron Päffgen in 1962 in Neuilly, Ari Boulogne is the son of the German singer, model and actress Nico, with whom Alain Delon had a brief affair in the 1960s. He was largely raised by Alain Delon’s mother, Edith. The latter adopted him with her second husband Paul Boulogne, from whom he then took the surname.

Alain Delon has never recognized the paternity of Ari Boulogne, which has been the subject of a long legal battle. The supposed son had sent a request for recognition of paternity to the actor of The swimming pool, examined by French justice in 2019. A year later, it declared itself incompetent. The case had been returned to Switzerlandplace of residence of Alain Delon, in 2021.
