On Friday the next celebrity had to hang up his dancing shoes. Ann Kathrin Bendixen got not enough calls from viewers.
Things are slowly getting serious: the grand finale of “Let’s Dance” will take place in a few weeks. The winner of the 17th season will be chosen at the end of May. Until then, three couples still have to leave the show. In the last edition, RTL sorted out twice: Biyon Kattilathu and Sophia Thiel met.
In show eight, only one celebrity had to leave the dance floor. First, the couples competed as usual with individual performances. Several stars impressed: presenter Jana Wosnitza and Vadim Garbuzov received the highest score for their quickstep to “I Want You To Want Me” by Letters To Chloe, as did singer Lulu Lewe and Massimo Sinató, who received a contemporary to “Crazy” by Natalie Jane danced.
Ann-Kathrin Bendixen cannot convince the jury and viewers
Travel influencer Ann-Kathrin Bendixen and Valentin Lusin, however, received the fewest points from the jury for the samba to “Say My Name” by David Guetta, Bebe Rexha & J Balvin – and also the fewest calls from viewers. That meant “Let’s Dance” was over for her.

In addition to the individual performances, the jury team dances were also on the program on Friday. Motsi Mabuse won this competition together with Gabriel Kelly and Jana Wosnitza. The two stars secured another ten extra points. Ann-Kathrin Bendixen, who finished third in Joachim Llambi’s team, was only able to gain one point and would not have been able to save herself from elimination.
Now there are six stars left in the running: Lulu Lewe, Gabriel Kelly, Mark Keller, Detlef D! Soost, Tony Bauer and Jana Wosnitza will compete against each other again next week. Who will be “Dancing Star 2024” will be decided on May 24th. Then last year’s winner Anna Ermakova’s trophy goes to the next celebrity.
