Oleksij Makejev has the last word on this important day at Bellevue Palace. “We Ukrainians appreciate Germany’s solidarity and support,” said the Ukrainian ambassador at the end of the ceremony with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier a year after the Russian invasion of his country. “German weapons save lives,” he says.
