Real is also the story of comebacks. This time, it’s Carlo Ancelotti who returns. Six years later, the Italian coach – winner with the club Merengue of the Champions League 2014 – finds the bench of Real Madrid.

Ancelotti facing Real’s financial difficulties
During his first two seasons at Real, Ancelotti left an excellent image among the supporters and the players, among whom Karim Benzema, Raphaël Varane, Marcelo or Casemiro are still in the squad.
“Carletto” will have to rebuild the workforce despite the financial difficulties of Real, weighed down by the Covid-19 pandemic, engaged in an ephemeral private “Super League” project and monopolized by the expensive renovation of the Santiago-Bernabeu stadium.
