American Bulldog Euthanized After Injuring Owners

The gendarmes and the firefighters had to intervene together on Sunday to control a dog in a house in the town of Guimiliau, very close to Landerneau, in Finistère. According to the gendarmes, two adults and a child who lived with the animal were injured by the American bulldog when they returned to their home.

According to The Telegram, the man was reportedly bitten in the face as he walked towards the dog. He was injured in the lip. His partner and their 13-year-old daughter were bitten in the hand trying to help the master. They were all three transported to hospitals in Brest and Morlaix.

The animal was captured by the dog handlers of the gendarmerie and firefighters. He had to be handed over to the SPA. According to The Telegram, he was euthanized on Sunday evening. An investigation was opened, followed by the Brest prosecutor’s office. The prefecture was also seized.
