The lawyer who is now bringing Donald Trump to court claims he has experienced more dramatic moments in his life than this one. In January 2022, after just a few weeks as New York County District Attorney, Alvin Bragg described his youth in Harlem to his staff. “Before I was 21, I had a gun pointed at me six times,” Bragg wrote. “Three times by police officers and three times by non-police officers. I had a knife to my neck, a semi-automatic weapon to my head and a murder victim on my doorstep.”
