The Conconrde Duttlenheim basketball club, west of Strasbourg, in the storm. One of his coaches was indicted and remanded in custody on Friday for rape and sexual assault on two underage players over 15 years old.
A judicial investigation was opened by the Strasbourg prosecutor’s office and the thirty-something was indicted for rape and sexual assault by a person abusing the authority conferred by his function.
According to Latest News from Alsace, the club “immediately as a precautionary principle dismissed this coach” and plans to set up a psychological unit. The investigation is continuing to identify other possible victims.
