Alexis Corbière and Raquel Garrido are not reinvested by LFI

La France insoumise communicated, on the night of Friday June 14 to Saturday June 15, the list of nominations for the legislative elections. Alexis Corbière and Raquel Garrido are not reinvested in their respective constituencies in Seine-Saint-Denis.

“A rebellious nickname.” Outgoing MP for the fifth constituency of Seine-Saint-Denis, Raquel Garrido reacted, on the night of Friday June 14 to Saturday June 15, to the list of investitures for the legislative elections communicated by La France insoumise.

“It’s sabotage”

“I have just discovered that LFI has decided not to grant me the nomination. I am being made to pay for the crime of lèse-Mélenchon. It is very regrettable, at the precise moment when, with the New Popular Front, we let’s embody a new democratic project for the country”, writes the outgoing MP on her X account.

“I will win this election against the RN and against this pseudo rebel who is, in the city, an employee of Madame Lagarde at the Drancy town hall,” continues Raquel Garrido.

“Shame on you JLM (Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Editor’s note). It’s sabotage. But I will do better. We will do better,” she says in her message on the social network X.

Raquel Garrido thus indicates that she will continue to campaign without the nomination of La France insoumise. She will face Aly Diouara who will wear the colors of the New Popular Front. “A heavy responsibility has just been entrusted to me,” he wrote on his X account in a long message which does not refer to the outgoing LFI MP.

The same decision was communicated concerning Alexis Corbière, outgoing LFI deputy for the 7th constituency of Seine-Saint-Denis when he launched his campaign with a rally organized Thursday in Montreuil and Bagnolet.

“An obscure LFI electoral commission decided not to nominate me as a candidate. A punishment for having voiced internal criticism. Shame,” he says, confirming that he will continue to campaign.

Alexis Corbière will face Sabrina Ali Benali who will be a candidate for the New Popular Front. “So, I said yes. I’m a little scared of course but I know that I can count on you to give me courage and strength,” writes Sabrina Ali Benali on his account.
