Àlex Roca ran a marathon; his doctors once said he would not be able to walk

32-year-old Àlex Roca suffers from cerebral palsy and can hardly move the left part of his body. Why he still wanted to run 42 kilometers.

A few days after the most difficult task of his life, we go through the marathon again together. There was ease at the start. There was the joy all around him, the applause as the marathon runners set off like an army about to attack. There were the hard passages. Kilometer 24 when he thought about giving up. Kilometer 37, when suddenly desire and air stopped.

A marathon, 42.195 kilometers, that’s a big challenge even for healthy runners – but for a person with cerebral damage? Who is half paralyzed?
